St Mary’s Under 7′s played away at Newton Aycliffe Sports Club recently, and drew 2-2 with goals from Oliver Johnson and Jack Purdham. The Under 13’s had a 9-1 win at 21st Allstars. Scorers were Man-of-the-Match Callum Smith (3), Jake Findlay (3), Ryan Matthews, Anthony Stout and Lewis Scarr.
The Under 8A’s were at home to Stockton Town and lost 1-0. Man-of-the-Match was deservedly awarded to goal keeper Ben Morton. St Marys Under 8B travelled to Stockton Town with goals from Lewis Poppleton and Oliver Lamb Stockton levelled to make it Stockton Town 2 St Marys 2. Man-of-the-Match was Oliver Lamb.
The Under 10′s played at 21st Allstars. St Marys’ took the lead from an Emily Scarr cross, which found Ben Thompson who scored, but it was Allstars who scored 3 times to win 3-1. Man-of-the-Match was keeper, Jack Blacklock. The Under 12′s put seven past Teesside Athletic in the third round Challenge Cup and went 2-0 up with goals from McCluskey (3) Metcalfe.(2) Jackson, & Sherwen.
The Under 11B’s beat Mount Pleasant home and away, winning the first 1-0 after some good play from Harry Coulthard, giving Man-of-the-Match Sam Parnaby a tap in. Then on Sunday St. Marys won 4-3 with goals Sam Parnaby (2) and Man-of-the-Match Carl Draper in another excellent display.
The Under 13B’s played Nunthorpe and with goals from Jevin Robinson (2) and Lewis Hodgson, won 3-2.
The Under 11A’s came up against a very good Kader side losing 5-0 in the league.
St Marys Under 14′s gained revenge for their Christmas defeat in the local derby with Ferryhill Town, as the Saints ran out 6-1 winners. James Lupton scored 2 goals before Matthew Storey scored. Tony Hindmarch added a 4th. Goals from Max Litt and a third from James Lupton wrapped up the scoring. Man-of-the-Match was deservedly taken by Kieran Fish.
St. Marys under 15As were away to Greatham. The final score was 1-0 to Greatham with Tom Aldred receiving Man-of-the-Match.The Under 15B’s were at home to New Marske and, after going 3-1 behind, did well to come back to make the final score 4-3 to St Marys with goals from Cleminson, Kitch, Knowles and Taylor.
The Under 18′s came up against unbeaten Stockton Town with Joe King hitting the bar, but once Stockton took the lead they started to dominate the game to win 5-0 with Anthony Philipson Man-of-the-Match.The Under 9A’s played away at Spraire Lads and came back with a 1-1 draw with Matthew Stokoe scoring for St. Marys and it was Stokoe who scored again in the second game to win 1-0.
The Under 9B’s drew 0-0 with Hartlepool Youth in a very close game.The Under 11s Angels played Cestria, and won 2-1. Goals came from Emily Scarr and Sophie Wood. Man-of-the-Match was Abbie Westgarth. The girls then played Durham County and won 10-1, with goals from Man-of-the-Match Emily Scarr (5), Sophie Wood (4) and Emily Eggett (1).
The Under 13’s Angels had another great win at home against East Durham . The final score was 8-2 .Goal scorers were Amber Hemming, Jodi Brunskill, Sophie Hodgson (2) Katie Raine (2) and Anna Colwell (2). Player-of-the-Match was Bryony Littlefair.
