St Mary’s Under 18’s had two games last week. They drew in the first game with a 0-0 draw against 21st Allstars. Joseph King was named as the Man of-the-Match.

In their second game, the U18s played Stockton Rangers and won 6-0 with goals from Man-of-the-Match Anthony Philipson as well as Scott Holiday, Dom Fish, Joe King, Matthew Fletcher and Jordan Wymer.

The Under 15B’s celebrated an excellent 2-0 win over St Francis 2000, considering they only had ten men available and had to change keepers due to injury. The goals were scored by Thomas Knowles and Scott Winterburn.

The Under 14’s were unlucky to lose 4-3 against St. Francis in a top-of-the-table clash after leading 2-0 with goals for St. Marys from James Lupton (2) and Matthew Storey.

The Under 13B’s lost 2-0 against South Park Rangers with Jimmy Gillis as Man-of-the-Match.

The Under 13A’s lost 3-1 against top-of-the-league Marton Hall Drive with Paul Jordan scoring for St. Mary’s. The Under 12’s were involved in a very close semi-final against Greatham after ending 3-3 following extra time, with goals from McLuskey, Dixon and Raisbeck but then losing on penalties 4-3.

The Under 11A’s won 15-0 against Barnard Castle with goals from Smith (3) Reay (3) Wigley (3) Hart (2) Swift (2) Goundry and Lowthian.

The Under 10’s lost 1-0 to Darlington TSC; Jude Bowes was Man-of-the-Match.

The Under 9A’s were involved in a very close top-of-the-table clash with Golden Flats and lost 2-0, but can still win the league if they win the remainder of the games. St. Mary’s drew 1-1 in the second game, with Ben Lowrie scoring.

The Under 8A’s hosted their final game of the season at home, and won 5-1.

The Saints gave it their all, with goals from Tom Aldsworth (2), Aaron Willougby, Curtis Layfield and Daniel Juler (who has been absent most of the season due to an injury). Man-of-the-Match was Curtis
Layfield.

The Under 7’s had an excellent day at Newton Aycliffe Fun Day, entering 2 teams.

Goals from Jack Purdham, Jack Wood, J J Readman and Johnboy Harrop for the Bishops and also goals from Luke Brownless, Luke Moore, Dylan Nicolson, Blake Winter, Dylan Kestle and Jack Burdess for the Knights rounded off some great games.
