St. Mary’s U15A’s took on Billingham Town in a thrilling Challenge Cup semi-final. Paul Harland scored St. Mary’s opening goal, and it was Lee Gilby who made it 2-0 to St. Mary’s. Gilby scored again give St Mary’s a 3-0 lead.
Some excellent saves by keeper Aidan Warburton and brilliant work by the defence of Lewis Peart, Andrew Taylor, Robbie Lee Simpson and Lewis Rowell ensured the score stayed that way. St. Mary’s booked their place in the Challenge Cup Final for an impressive third year in a row. Lewis Rowell was named as M.O.M.
The U10′s won 7-0 away at Billingham Rangers with goals from Michael Dinsdale(2), Bailey Prudhoe, Josh Oyston, Ethan Dixon, Jordan Wintersgill and MOM Jude Bowes. St. Mary’s also won the friendly 4-0 with goals from M.O.M. Cieran Jackson, Cameron Gilbey and Nathan Carter-Bonsteel (2).
The U9A’s played a 1-1 draw with Newton Aycliffe Youth with the all important goal from Adam Hall.
The U13A’s were at Billingham Town and earned an excellent 4-1 win. St. Mary’s goals were scored by Anthony Stout, Ryan Matthews and 2 from MOM Lewis Scarr.
The U14′s won 3-2 away at Leven to keep their promotion hopes up. Joe Mason set the Bishop side on their way with his first goal for 7 years, this was followed by goals from Matthew Hunt and James Lupton.
The U18′s were holding Stockton West End 0-0 at half-time, but lost 3-0 with Greg Coulthard going close to scoring and MOM Anthony Philipson having a fine game.
Bishop Auckland St. Mary’s Angels F.C. U11′s Angels beat Leam Rangers 9-0. The team’s goals were scored by player of the match Sophie Wood (4), Emily Eggett (2), Emily Scarr (2) and Sam Moody. In the second game they managed to beat Washington 2-0 with goals from Emily Scarr and Sophie Wood. Sam Moody was the player of the match.
