Following months of fundraising, colleagues and customers at Sainsbury’s Bishop Auckland have raised £4,200.41 for the Heel and Toe Charity.
Jane Long, Development Officer from Heel and Toe said, “We’re really grateful for the fantastic efforts of the colleagues and customers at Sainsbury’s Bishop Auckland.
“They have really helped to raise the profile of our charity in the area. “Your money really has helped to make a difference to us over the last few months, so thank- you”.
Store manager Tom Phillipson added, “From volunteering to the many fundraising activities that we’ve held, our customers have really helped to support our fundraising during our partnership with Heel and Toe Charity. To anyone who’s contributed to our overall total, all of our colleagues would like to thank-you.
“Your donations have helped to support a local charity that’s close to many people’s hearts in County Durham .”
The charity provides free conductive education therapy to children who have cerebral palsy, dyspraxia or any other motor disorder.
Between 4th to the 25th May, customers have been invited to vote for another local charity partner to receive a year’s worth of fundraising and awareness.
