Eight goal thriller

There was only one match this week for St Mary’s football club, which was played away at Redcar by the Under 13 Kings.

St. Mary’s scored first, with Sam Parnaby taking his first goal well. He then went on to score his hat-trick with three well-taken goals.

Redcar came back into it with two free headers going over the bar and then scoring a penalty, giving James Hauxwell, St. Mary’s keeper, no chance.

However, Kieran Kirkby scored for the Bishop side to make it 4-1 at half-time.

The second half belonged to St. Mary’s, with goals from Thomas Wilkinson, Gareth McMahon, Liam Robson and man-of-the-match Harry Coulthard. They won 8-1 to go back top of the league after winning the last ten league games.
