New Mayor for Bishop Auckland

The retiring Mayor of Bishop Auckland, Councillor John Lethbridge, handed his chains of office to Councillor Charlie Kay recently, after he was elected at the Annual Council Meeting on 22nd May.

Councillor Ann Golightly was elected as Deputy Mayor. During his time in office, Councillor Lethbridge raised £2,075 for Butterwick Hospice, while Councillor Kay has chosen the British Heart Foundation as his nominated charity for the year.
