Cake decorating competition at show

On Saturday and Sunday 23rd and 24th September, Bishop Auckland is hosting it’s annual Horticultural Show at the Town Hall.

Next door, St Anne’s Church is hosting Encounters with Hope, a free event featuring a photography display, prayer spaces, music, dance and poetry as well as a cupcake stall.

There is also a Cake Decorating Competition and residents of Bishop Auckland are invited to show their artistic and creative cakey flair by decorating a cupcakes or a cake in the theme of gardening, fruits, flowers and vegetables to tie in with the Horticultural show.

There are three categories for entries to the competition: Primary school aged children should submit four decorated cupcakes;

Secondary School and youth can submit four decorated cupcakes or a decorated cake;

The Adults or Families section is taking entries of a decorated cake (no more than 12 x 12 inches).

The competition is only £1 for childen and youth entries and £2 for adult/family entries.

Entries should be booked by 16th September.
