Rugby Club U16s train with Royal Marines

Wednesday 6th September’s training session for Bishop Auckland Rugby club u16s took place at HMS Calliope in Gateshead.

The team were introduced to Major Dave Hill RM who organised the session.

Then they were put through their paces by a Royal Marine PTI who spared no mercy.

Following the physical training, the team were given a hands on introduction to some of the weapons the marines use in the field.

To end what was truly a fantastic experience, the players were all fed in the mess and team captain, Luke Redfearn presented Major Dave Hill RM with a BARFU club tie and polo shirts in gratitude of the evening.
