The Bishop Press is the latest edition to the Community Newspaper series

The Bishop Press is a free community newspaper, written for the people of Bishop Auckland about Bishop Auckland. This publication is produced by Community Newspaper Support Ltd, a not-for-profit company which already has two extremely popular and successful newspapers, The Town Crier in Shildon and The Ferryhill & Chilton Chapter, both of which have been running for over ten years.

Each paper is unique to each town, providing relevent local news, events, and information to residents.

The paper will be delivered fortnightly to every home in the town.

If you have an event coming up, from a fundraising night to a Golden Wedding, contact the Bishop Press team on 01388 775896 or email bishoppress@yahoo.co.uk.

You can also leave correspondence in Woodhouse Close Library or the Town Hall Library in an envelope addressed to us.
